The Roving Hotel presents
This is Your Invitation to a Unique Travel Experience
A Moveable Feast is a roving adventure, offering fully curated luxury excursions based in private estates around the world to a hand selected group of thoroughly enjoyable people.
This chapter of A Moveable Feast will be based out of the historic city of Marrakesh, Morocco. From our magnificent villa there we will explore the city of Marrakesh and its famed medina and cultural sites, as well as neighboring coastal, mountain, and desert destinations to get a taste of the full scope of this storied and majestic country.
Our base for the week will be a 2 acre walled luxury oasis in The Palmeraie, an area known as the “Beverly Hills of Marrakech.” This 10 bedroom 11 bathroom art filled villa is a world of it’s own, yet located only ten minutes outside the walls of the historic Medina.
Mornings in Morocco will begin with breakfast in the villa from our private chef. After a leisurely morning, each day’s excursion will begin. While the excursions are entirely optional, we do highly recommend them as they have been curated for your enjoyment.
Each day’s activities will have us back at the villa with plenty of time to unwind, swim, and enjoy cocktails and games before dinner. A lavish dinner has been planned each night, some at the villa and some in nearby destinations, and designed to be a time that allows us to both feast and further get to know your fellow guests. And as always, there will be a number of surprises to be revealed along the way.
The legendary ancient walled city of Marrakesh is known as its Medina, and we will have guided tours of the splendors of its souks- the varied markets selling a colorful array of gold, spices, rugs, carvings, and all manner of intricate handicrafts. It is truly a place like no other that every curious traveler should experience at least once in their lives.
No trip to Morocco would be complete without a stop in the desert, so we will take a chauffeured trek out to Agafay, where after a scenic ride by camel, we will have a gourmet dinner under the stars with live traditional Berber music.
A journey to the coast will take us to Essaouira, an ancient and picturesque fishing village known for its seafood and intricate textiles. Along the way, we will stop to see the unforgettable spectacle of the Arganian tree goats.
While those on the inside of Marrakesh’s walled medina may still subscribe to an ancient way of life, the district of Gueliz, known widely as “New Marrakech” is bustling with modern upscale nightlife, shopping, and entertainment which we will take in during a VIP night on the town.
An architecture and design tour will take us to the highlights of Marrakesh’s multitude of mind-blowing mosaics and structures, including the Saadian tombs, Dar Menehbi Palace, Yves Saint Laurent museum, and Ben Youssef Madrasa
A Moveable Feast: Marrakesh will take place over the following dates-
